IT infrastructure for startups — set up right the first time.
I'm an IT consultant with 7+ years running the infrastructure of multiple companies.
I get new offices online, deploy Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or
Zoho, migrate your email without downtime, lock down devices — and then keep it all running.
Everything a growing team needs — from day one to scale
Fixed-scope projects when you need it done, monthly retainers when you need it staying done.
Microsoft 365 deployment
Tenant creation or cleanup, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD) with SSO, Intune device management and licence right-sizing so you don't over-buy.
Tenant + domain setup with correct DNS
Entra ID, MFA, conditional access, groups
Intune / Autopilot for zero-touch laptops
Google Workspace deployment
Business Starter through Enterprise, Gmail and Drive configuration, shared drives, groups, Chrome and Endpoint Management, plus Google Vault for retention and eDiscovery.
Shared drives and permission model
Endpoint management for Windows/macOS/mobile
Vault, DLP and external-sharing policies
Zoho setup & admin
Zoho Mail, Workplace or the full Zoho One stack — the best value option for lean teams. Mail, Calendar, Cliq, WorkDrive, CRM hand-offs and admin rules configured properly.
Mail + Workplace or Zoho One rollout
Departments, roles, admin delegation
CRM / Desk / Books access and integrations
Email & data migration
Moving between Google, Microsoft, Zoho, cPanel/IMAP or an old on-prem server — mail, calendars, contacts and files, with cutover planned outside your working hours.
Zero-downtime cutover plan
Shared mailboxes, aliases and distribution lists
Historical mail, PSTs and drive data
Security & compliance baseline
A practical hardening baseline for startups: MFA everywhere, admin least-privilege, phishing protection, BitLocker/FileVault, backups and an incident "who to call" plan.
MFA, SSPR and admin role hardening
Email authentication: SPF, DKIM, DMARC
Backup & recovery drills (cloud data too)
Office & network setup
New office or a move: internet handover, firewall/router, Wi-Fi that actually covers the room, VLANs, VPN to your cloud, NAS, printers, meeting rooms and cabling coordination.
Router/firewall + guest & staff Wi-Fi
VPN / zero-trust access to internal services
Meeting-room AV, printers, NAS, UPS
Devices, onboarding & offboarding
Laptops bought, imaged, encrypted and enrolled before your hire starts. When someone leaves, access is revoked the same day and their data is preserved — not deleted.
Hardware sourcing and standard builds
Automated onboarding checklists
Instant offboarding and licence reclaim
Managed IT & helpdesk
Ongoing support for your team — monitoring, patching, ticket handling, vendor chasing and a monthly report your founders can actually read. You keep the strategy, I keep the lights on.
Agreed response times and escalation path
Monitoring, backup verification, patching
Asset register, licences and renewals
Fractional IT leadership
No IT manager yet? I'll act as your part-time Head of IT: budgets, tooling decisions, vendor negotiation, security roadmap and hiring/handover when you're ready to build a team.
IT roadmap and quarterly budget
Vendor & procurement management
Due diligence and audit support
Engagements
Three simple ways to work together
Licence costs are billed by Microsoft/Google/Zoho directly or at cost — you always own your own tenant and accounts.
Launch
For teams of 1–15 setting up their first proper IT stack.
You always know what happens next, what it costs, and what "done" looks like.
01
Free discovery call
30 minutes on what you have, what hurts, and what you're planning. You leave with honest advice — even if you don't hire me.
02
Audit & written plan
I review your current setup, then send a fixed-scope plan: tasks, timeline, dependencies, risks and a price. No surprises added later.
03
Build, migrate, verify
Work is done in planned windows with rollback points. Migrations run out of hours, and we verify mail flow, permissions and backups before sign-off.
04
Document, train, support
You get documentation, admin access and a short training session. Then either I hand over cleanly, or I stay on retainer to run it.
Compare
Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or Zoho?
The honest answer is "it depends" — here's the short version I give clients. I deploy all three and I'm not paid by any of them.

Approx. entry price

Best when
You live in Office files, need compliance depth, enterprise vendors expect it
Your team is browser-first, collaborative and mostly remote
You're pre-seed / very cost-sensitive and want a full business suite cheaply
Watch out for
Licence tiers balloon fast; admin learning curve
Weaker on-prem/Windows management
Smaller partner ecosystem; fewer admins know it well
Pricing is indicative list price at time of writing and excludes taxes and annual-commitment discounts. Always confirm current vendor pricing before buying.
Not sure which fits? Tell me how your team works and I'll recommend one — with a migration plan and a cost comparison.
I've spent the last 7+ years managing IT infrastructure for multiple companies — from
single-office startups to multi-site teams with hundreds of endpoints. That means I've done the
unglamorous parts too: the 2am migration, the misconfigured SPF record, the laptop that arrives
the day before a new hire starts, the ransomware scare that makes everyone finally care about backups.
I work as an independent consultant, so you get one accountable person instead of a ticket queue.
I don't resell hardware for commission, I don't lock you into proprietary tooling, and I document
everything so you're never hostage to your IT provider — including me.
Hands-on with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Zoho — not just certified slides
Windows, macOS, Linux, Azure/Entra, networking and endpoint security
Startup-friendly: plain language, fixed scopes, budgeting that respects your runway
You own your tenants, domains and admin accounts, always
For most teams under 50 users: 3–7 days from kickoff to cutover, with the mailbox move itself done out of hours. Larger or messier environments — old IMAP servers, multiple domains, years of mail — can take 2–3 weeks. You get a timeline in the written plan before anything starts.
Will we lose email or have downtime?
No. I migrate to the new platform first, verify it, then change DNS at a low-traffic time. Mail keeps flowing during the switch, and I keep the old environment readable for a period afterwards as a safety net. Nothing is deleted until you confirm you're happy.
Do I buy licences through you?
You buy direct from Microsoft, Google or Zoho, or I can procure at cost — either way the tenant and billing stay in your name. That's deliberate: if you ever stop working with me, nothing breaks and nobody holds your data.
We have no documentation and no idea what we own. Is that a problem?
It's the most common starting point. The audit exists exactly for this: I inventory accounts, domains, licences, devices and admin access, then produce the docs you should have had from day one. You'll know what you're paying for and who has access to what.
Can you work alongside our existing IT person or MSP?
Yes. I often act as the escalation point or the project hand for an internal generalist who's stretched thin, and I document handovers properly rather than hoarding knowledge.
We're fully remote / hybrid. Does that change anything?
It changes the priorities, not the service: identity, device management and zero-trust access matter more than physical networks. Everything I deploy is designed for distributed teams, and I support them remotely across time zones.
What about emergencies outside business hours?
Managed clients get an emergency contact path with agreed response targets. If you're not on a retainer, I'll still help where I can — but priority goes to clients who've planned for it.
Do you offer on-site support?
Most work is delivered remotely. For office setups, network installations and hardware deployments I can attend on-site depending on your location — travel is agreed and quoted up front.
